Thanks! I should have bought one new when they were available here in 2009...But I didn't have the money back then...They actually were not that expensive here in 2009.

Ralf, you are the king of finding things online. I'd be stunned if you couldn't find one of these. Good luck and have fun in your search! You've got it on our radar as well now. Strats are popular so may as well ask here and everywhere else.

I have an "out of the box" suggestion that might be worthwhile looking into. What about a G&L custom build Legacy with the same specs? Price wise it will be comparable, quality wise too.

Thanks for the ideas regarding G&L or build my own, but I am only looking into those specific original Fender models. There were a few sold as used in 2015 already and one is unsold on Reverb currently but part of a large bundle with EC amp and lots of other Clapton type things. So it's just a matter to wait long enough until the next one comes up in "collector" condition.
