My 1993 JF 30 is a great guitar. Probably it's at its best fingerpicking or strumming, and so easy to play, I don't know what it is. I just love this guitar.

Dug mine when I had it. It was just to big. It was a heavy beast. Mime was first year of issue.

What are you folks using for strings on your JF-30s? I've tried D'Addario EJ16s and Martin Retros so far.

I'm using 80/20 mediums of different brands. I really like them, I've also used John Pearse nickels
Thanks - I found a set in my stash and will try stringing it up this weekend. The retros aren't doing much for me when paired with the maple. Here's my 98. Found it at Guitar Center in excellent condition for a good price. These are stunning guitars in person.

Yeah I like the 80/20 better than the nickel on my JF 30- they seem to add more depth to the bottom strings. They are fantastic guitars
