I find myself buying little gadgets and tools and doodads even though I know I already have them, simply because I can't find them in my darned house.

I had this cool truss rod adjustment wrench, and the end of it had a philips screw driver tip. Nice, two tools in one. Now I can't remember where I put it!

Thanks for letting me vent.

In other news... I'd bought a truss rod cover from Hans, and then ended up finding it in one of my guitar cases. Ha! I guess I'll keep looking.

I keep trying to saturate our house with screwdrivers and pens... with the philosophy at at some point, I will have one in every place it might be needed. Anne thinks I am using the same logic with my Guilds...

I solved that problem around here. I have a chest-of-drawers (called chesterdrawers in W. Virginia) in my bedroom. It's not for clothes but for every gadget imaginable. All the drawers are full but at least I know WHERE to look.

Did someone say glasses? Dang it!!!!!!

Peace

We refer to those drawers here as "junk drawers." There's good stuff in there, I know, but "junk" is a good term to cover the lot.

At my age, I sometimes forget what's in my drawers...

And even if you remember what's in there, you might not remember what it was used for..

Go look where you keep your beer bottle opener. You stopped there first the last time you were gonna use it but then you got sidetracked. Or else it fell behind your computer when you were emailing Hans for a trussrod cover to use it on.
If all else fails: Quick, do you remember where you've been?

These things show up the day after you replace them....or after you don't need them anymore.......or you'll receive one as a gift, after you've bought one...happens every time... Steffan
