Was watching a docu on Jimi and spotting a pic of him playing with Wilson Pickett. And behind them was a rather distinctive headstock. A quick search revealed a Starfire bass being played by Cornell Dupree.

Take a closer look! That's a Starfire III guitar; not a Starfire Bass!

I never was able to figure out what all that visual confusion is on the guitar, looks like it's manifesting some of Jimi's visual hallucinations, or something....
