It was a joke: any nut width on a 29" inch scale guitar is unusable for me...but it's not really 29 inches. :geek:
Yeah I screwed that up it’s 24.9 ahhh short scale . I’ll have to see how it handles opening tunings

Who’s Will?

Congrats Ray! Recording Kings are solid. You got a top model for them which will make it better too.

Maybe it was the Eastman brand that was more Martinesq

I did a side-by-side comparison of the Eastman E-20P to a Martin 0-28. They certainly look similar, but Eastman had a red spruce top while the Martin had Sitka. They definitely sounded different. The Eastman was more "modern" sounding while the Martin sounded like a traditional Martin.

My take , Holy bat guano Bat man ! It’s Shiny .
To my surprise this guitar or one like should be the representative of the line !

Fit and finish excellent.

inside very clean ( nice work recording king )
Playability is very good . It has the same problem many guitars have and that’s the neck angle I mean what else could it be if saddle is lowered a 1/8 th inch above the bridge ?

The neck has a soft V shapeI believe that’s what they say. You’ll feel it for sure , is there a hard V shape ? Anyway it doesn’t bother me at all but some might like it I’m sure . Lol

The top is really very nice and the Tone is decent. I have to change strings and pins .
Yeah so I say decent because finger picking she’s very slightly dull . I expected a little more crispness . Using a pick it comes to life . The rumble is felt through the Rosewood back and sides which is beautiful . Why the heck did they hide behind dark stain ????

it’s hard to say more other then it passes my test . 😃 it definitely would be a most excellent entree level guitar.

Recording king did very nice job on this one. I’m off to play it some more .

Congrats! Hopefully you deem it a keeper.
Yes it’s a keeper over all I’m impressed . I tuned the E down to D to see how well it did and in that sense passed with flying colors.

it is really well built but they copied Blueridge or Martin if did the same at one time .

the A and G string are right on both E tuners as they pass by . But you get by without interference. 😊

I knew what he meant. That's why some brands don't have their tuners in a straight line. Like Seagull and Ovation.

Lol , Blueridge around the early 2’000 had this issue but worse I believe . I think the strings actually made contact with the tuner post . I have to check my model see what it’s like now .
thank you for understanding Ray speak . Lol

I’m liking this guitar a lot and more . I all ready wrote a tune on her just to hone it in . It won’t be anyone’s favorite but I like that’s what’s important. Lol
