Does anybody know who made the humbuckers that were coming out of Corona in '02? I think these are referred to as SD-1s, OK for what I'm doing (on an X150), but I'd love to know the source. Are these Seymour Duncans? Is there an equivalent in the current Duncan catalog?

Also, I am starting to look at a few other options, so if anybody has replaced theirs I'd be interested in hearing about your experience.

Thanks, Joe

I think they were just made by Fender. Their guts look nearly identical to the DeArmond Gold Tones of the era as well as a Fender Atomic Humbucker that I have in a Cyclone. That doesn't mean the magnets, coil wire or windings are the same, but it is indicative of their production. Perhaps the ultimate authority will have something to say that I haven't.
