Best Swad in town, looks good. I just made chicken tikka masala tonight with balsamic rice, broccoli and naan.

Wha'cha' makin', beecee?
Not sure yet on the Indian front, but I'm picking up some plum tomatoes for a simple sauce.

43 outside and not getting very warm this weekend. Maybe some minnestrone or beans and greens.

I was at a restaurant the other night and my entree came with a salad, but I wasn't in the mood. I asked for just some sliced tomato w/olive oil.

Got this, but I added the chunks of bread.

Strang as it may seem I'm probably going meatless all weekend, I already grilled the lamb chops in the freezer and passed them around at work. Really cold and rainy weekend ahead, soups seem like the ticket.

Those are the ingredients for a nice Indian dal. We make Indian food 3-4 times a week, but never with pasta.
That would be fusion, would it not?

I grabbed the paneer first, but I am a bit sensitive to large amounts of spinach so I looked around for something else to have with it.

Any other suggestions.... or great ideas for the dal?

I happened upon an amazing recipe recently that uses heirloom cherry tomato.

It's basically...in a skillet, heat olive oil, chopped garlic, black pepper. Add the cherry tomatoes covering the bottom, periodically rolling them around so they heat evenly. When the skins start wrinkling, add a cup or two (depending on how much you're making) of white wine and bring to a simmer. Then add a heaping tablespoon of capers and a heaping cup of pitted calmata olives. When everything is simmering, add a bunch of large peeled shrimp. As soon as they turn orange and curl, take off heat. Serve on top of linguini or fettuccini, and top w/ a generous amount of crumbled feta cheese. DELICIOUS!!! :giggle:

When the cat's away...lock the doors and toss the litter box. Hate cats.
I used to not care for cats, but then a mama cat left a litter under our house. She disappeared; don't know what happened. They cried pitifully and she didn't come back so we brought them in. Four, and their eyes weren't even opened yet.

Only one survived. She had to be bottle fed, of course, so went with me to work every day until she was big enough to be left at home.

We named her Lady Constance. Also called Kitten Connie. Or as I called her, Connie, My Connie. She started our cat journey, and our high number at one point was 12 or 13, can't remember exactly. We have 2 now.

They have a way of winning you over, and I'm glad of that.
