Hi everybody.
ON 15/09/2020 I bought a Westerly D-140CE.
I played the guitar very carefully, and I always put the instrument in its gigbag after playing.
One month ago I heard a strange sound lifting the guitar, and I found the fishman pickup was unstuck from the inner body.
Not nice from a 750€ guitar..............
I tried to use some biadhesive, but after some days it was unstucked.
I wrote a mail to the seller: he answered to try with a stronger biadhesive.
I used a strong one, but the pickup has fallen again....
I am really upset.
Any help???
Thanks for your time

To get a good bond, you’ll want to clean both surfaces thoroughly, scraping or sanding any residue off, then making sure there’s no sanding/scraping dust left.
Then you can reattach.
You might try using a hook and loop fastener (Velcro). Easily available with adhesive backs in any craft store. Stick each side to the guitar and the preamp/controls and LET THEM SET before sticking together.

Welcome.

Any chance the selling dealer would/could do the fix for you?

The battery bag for an after-market pickup in my B50 was similarly attached. The adhesive has ceased to adhere and so the bag (without a battery) is just flopping around. I will reinstall when I think I need the PU but it does suggest the adhesive will eventually fail.

Try what AcornHouse suggested. Additionally, you can reach out to Guild customer service and see what they recommend.

Thank you all.
I live in Italy.
I bought the guitar in Milano, and I'm living 350 km far (120 km east of Venice), so I think it's unuseful to send the guitar to the shop due to the risk of shipping.
I didn't think about velcro, this can be a good idea (so I haven't to see this horrible white tape around the pickup).
But what I am discussing about is that I played some other guitars during the years, and some of them had a very hard life, but I never had this kind of problem.........
I know this is a chinese Guild, but................ I think you can understand.
Great music to everybody!

Also, if nothing else is handy, double-sided carpet tape might be an option. I would absolutely go with Velcro first, but it's an option.

Even better than double sided carpet tape, if you know any wood turners (yes, I know, a long shot, but we lurk everywhere), there is a cloth based double sided tape that is marketed to them that is thicker and VERY tenacious.

I will point out one thing you should bear in mind:

The tighter you stick it on now, the harder it will be to remove later, should you need to...

The climate this year has proved difficult for all my guitars, and even more difficult for some I received, one of which were out on a truck when it was 118º, uncharted territory. Quite possibly overheating in transit at some point could have been a factor.

Hello.
Today I tried with a strong biadhesive well known in Italy, it's called "millechiodi" (a thousand nails, I suppose is the translation).
Guild answewred me to use this:

Tape Type Double-Sided Foam Tape, Tape Brand 3M, Series 4492, Imperial Tape Length 5 yd

But it ain't easy to find nearby.
I stick it one hour ago and I will check later if it works.
I use the guitar at home, and the room is air conditioned with the right amount of humidity...............
I think there is a global worsening of materials in order to cut the costs, but it is like a boomerang.
One month ago a big carp broke my new fishing rod. I came back with an old rod from the 80's and the carp was in my net.
Have a nice day, and great music to everybody!

Most acoustic players I know would welcome a Fishman failure as the perfect excuse for an LR Baggs upgrade.

I played a brand new Gibson the other day and the same exact thing happened while I was playing it. So, likely that everyone is using cheap-o tape these days.
