Hey CT,
I don't know if you're a flatwound guy but here's a few thoughts;
I just put a set of D'Addario EFT15's on my Peregrine, .010, .014, .023, .030, .039, .047. As I've only had this guitar a couple days I'm getting used to the Peregrine's sound as well as the new strings. These EFT's are new to me. They are phosphor bronze but are polished semi-flat. The idea of semi-flat seemed to be a good match for me as I use D'Addario Chromes on my electrics for their tone and quietness.
It seems to me at least that the semi-flat strings are similar to round wound for feel and sound. They do seem to be well balanced across the four wound strings and I like the guage. I'm not familiar with flatwound acoustic strings so I'm sure I need to try a few more types before I find what I'm looking for with the Peregrine, every guitar is different of course so it will take time.
There is a flatwound thread in the acoustic/electric area that has some suggestions that I will probably try in the future.
Enjoy the search!
