Thanks Ravon!

The picture was taken recently after she had just received new stainless steel frets at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto, CA.

I gotta tell ya the TONE that comes out of this guitar just suits my ears perfectly and it is a breeze to play. I feel VERY lucky to own such a fantastic instrument!

If I could only have one acoustic guitar, this would be the one.

I really like the F30 shape and feel. But the Dreads comes in a close second.
And that is a beautiful  F50

My first real acoustic was a Guild D-35, and I now have a D-55 and D-25M, so I guess it is obvious that I prefer Dreadnaughts!

While I have some bigger boxes in the house the majority of my guitars are what I guess would classify as grand concert to auditorium size guitars with roughly 13 1/2" to less than 15" lower bouts. At last count I have four of them - Gibson LG-2, Martin 00-18, National Duolian, and a round soundhole archtop Kay Kraft.

I guess I'm either lucky or younger than all the people talking about the size/weight of dreads too much for their shoulders. I'm only 64, but so far have no problem with dreads, my F-512 or my F-50. I guess I have smaller guitars to look forward to. :) Oh well, push comes to shove I'll just have to stick with my old Metro-B archtop, it's about the lightest guitar I have.

That's gotta be one of the best looking Guilds made
I echo Ravon's statement. That's more than enough to make an electric guy want to go acoustic. :D

As for said electrics, I have gravitated towards the double cutaway shape, a slightly offset double cutaway shape, accentuated with a vibrato unit.

I've had 4 classical nylon string guitars (still have two) and 4 dreadnoughts (still have 3) but the easiest one to hold while I play is the F65ce known as a "Grand Auditorium" body.
My favorite overall neck is the D25 though.
My pipe dream is an archback rosewood F30 with the 24-3/4 scale and a 1-11/16 nut. And closed tuners.

My current collection has a parlor size, OO size, and Grand Orchestra size, with the smaller two getting almost all the play. I spend more time playing Banjo, mandolin and fiddle than I do guitar and have come to the point where I prefer instruments that don't sustain much (except fiddle). Notes that ring out then disappear. That leaves the big boxes out pretty much and finds me heading towards an F hole archtop one of these days. At that point I'll have to decide whether to go for an octave mandolin/mandocello, or a guitar.

As for "shape", I find the curvy shape most comfortable, dreadnought shape least. Sitting with the waist on my right leg is a comfortable way to play. 4" or less of body depth makes for easy reach over.

I have owned Jumbos, and OM's over the years.
I always come back to Dreds. They are just the best fit for me.
They give me the sound that I'm looking for.

All of my guitars except the D60 are cutaways. I like that.

Of my Guilds, two are grand-auditorium cutaways and one is a small dead.
None are blondes except the D-60. It's the odd fish in my tank.
