It's pretty dang clean is what ;]

Is it a refin or never been out of the house?

I'll hit the book and see what it is.

Edit. I'd say yes, that's what it is. X-175B for Blonde. Introduced 1954, 17" lower bout. Coincidentally, on page 54 of the Guild Guitar Book.

No idea, weirdest stamp on the back of the headstock. No label inside but a pencil number

But two stamps on the back of the headstock? That's unique!

It's a beauty, though! Looks in great condition!

I think we have seen a couple other examples where there are two serial number stamps. Usually one has an obvious flaw and you can imagine someone deciding to restrike rather than overstrike.

Might be a 1959 one (S/N 9136) that was refinished and repaired in September 1992, hence the 9 92 stamp on the neck? I guess by using a different neck as neck serial number 9892 does not match the S/N info inside the body. Just my guess. The pickguard also might be a replacement.

Many archtops are pressed into the arch shape, rather than carved that way. Pressed ones are laminate. So, any no carved maple archtop guitar will be made that way.

Could it be 9 59 with the 5 obliterated, and it was a second? Hence the "2" 959 2? That 2 is a completely different style of number from the date I think. I could be wrong.....
