$20 is what I was thinking, as well, Joe. It looks as though it might very well be nice fixer upper. I am looking for something old, not a shiny bluegrass special. I am thinking of playing some Celtic Tunes and maybe a Pete Seeger or Woody Guthry Tune.

A cheap 4 string new will run you about $200.00.
It would not be as cool as this one. It would be worth getting for up to $100.00 and putting another $100.00 into it.

Martin,

You'd really bid up to $100?. I already have a set of tuners to install and I figure that I can repair the hole in the headstock. It looks like the bridge is missing. And, of course, it's need new strings. I figure even if the head needs to be replaced, I see that Stew mac has then for about $20. I guess we'll see what happens. About 3 days to go in the ebay auction. How old do you think this little tenor is?

I would guess 30's.
I would almost expect to see it go for $100.00 or more.
Very cool old banjo.
Replacing the bridge or even nut isn't a big deal.
For that mater either is the head.
I hope that you get it.
