Every once in a while i get this perverse desire to torture myself. This one's even worse than the legendary the "Butterfly of Love" and that's saying something.
Pretty neat instrument. Look at the fret spacing. All microtonal (1/4 steps) until it gets high on the neck where the frets would be too close together to be playable….then they change to standard semitone.
That brings back memories of being at Bluegrass festivals and seeing them playing Rider, After Midnight, Lay Down Sally, and other "bluegrass classics", John Duffy playing slide mandolin with a Bic lighter, etc.
One of my all-time top favorite mandolin players and tenor singers.

Sometimes a piece of music, that you hear at a formative age, sticks in your head, forgotten, for many years. Then you hear it again and it all comes back. That was the case with this, which I remembered as the theme music for a TV series, "Take Three Girls", from about 1970.
