Welcome to LTG, Seiki! I lived in Ookayama for a year when my wife was on sabbatical at Tokyo Institute of Technology. A very enjoyable experience! My wife didn't want to leave. Fishing in Tokyo was a little different from what I was used to....i m in Oita, south part of japan. i ve just moved from Mie thats close to Nagoya last Chiristmas.
Oh we may have similar job.Seiki, that's a beautiful D-55. Congratulations. Over time, I hope you get the chance to try many of the Guild models. There is so much greatness to be found!
That's interesting (and sad) that guitar folks don't talk much about Guild in Japan.
Years ago, I spent two weeks in Shikoku on business (with NEC). I love Japan; I hope I have a chance to return there some day.
And, again, welcome to Let's Talk Guild!!! It's very rare that a new member joins and then stumps us with a very interesting question! (well, everyone but Hans, that is).
Ummm good to know.It was done at the factory in an earlier stage when the back and the top were still separate from the rim.
As far as the GF60 is concerned, it is not mine, but I had one at some point and it was a great guitar.
Sincerely,
Hans Moust
