Yeah bored even Netflix and Hulu and Amazon prime can't keep up .
So since we're musicians of one sort or another how about a write a new song motivated by the Covid-19 virus .
We are getting close to the stay at home order but I along with many others will still be working just not as much me , I work for the State so who knows .
So if you can get motivated and have time Let's write some music any style and genre singing or instrumental ( that's me ! ) Lol
Based off the above topic .
If we get enough interest I'll start a thread in members music unless someone thinks it would better somewhere else like here ?
Ok off to you folks .😊

I am really enjoying the work from home, sitting at table with family, hunkering down, not going out much at all time. I am probably in the minority.

Woody, I think it's been a good break in a lot of ways. It's like being put in a time-out, where you have to think and contemplate your actions and life. Not that there was anything wrong with my life, except maybe going out too much. I miss my friends and we have plenty who are so damn amazing. So I miss my friends. But we're actually talking about organizing the garage instead of just avoiding it. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna wash my own truck. I can't remember if I've ever done that since I've owned it..... wow!! (y)

So were we until my wife fell and broker her wrist Monday evening. Spent most of yesterday at hospital while she got a couple screws inserted.

Almost a year to the day she slipped and fell in NYC at a Broadway show and popped her ACL.

Come to think of it I was trying to meet up w/Mavuser that week we were in NYC

Yup thanks ZTom she's doing well. Home and resting. She is already trying to wean herself off the meds but it was a pretty invasive operation, on her dominate left wrist!!

Luckily my schedule allows me to play Mr. Mom to her, our daughter 3 dogs & 2 cats.

Have a batch of buttermilk pancake batter, (from scratch last night), coming to room temp as well as a second rise on some good home made bread.

This place will smell sooooo goood in a few hours!!

If it hurts, make sure she takes the pain meds. It's a proven fact, that people in less pain, recover better and more quickly than those who are in more pain. There's no shame in needing help now and then, and this is one of those times. Postop for me, if I'm in pain I can't sleep well, or at all, and you need your rest so your body can heal. I've had both heels rebuilt from bone spurs, two total knee replacements, and a total hip replacement (the other one was the cancelled surgery for 4-1 because of the corona virus) and bone work is invasive and it hurts like crazy. Let the meds help her to heal and get back in action. She'll know when to cut back and then switch to less powerful drugs, but no need to be a hero right now. Glad you can play nurse, and just thinking about what you've got up your sleeve for breakfast is making my mouth water!! She's gonna have to eat 'em righty, tho..... 👨‍⚕️🥞

My wife broke her wrist a few years ago. Luckily not her dominant hand. I agree with Tom about the meds. Make sure she feels OK before stopping them, or at least slowly work your way to Tylenol or something. She will heal faster.

Good luck with the "day care"!

that is awesome Tom, and the organizing garage piece, yes, great use of time. we are doing an urban farm, like cultivating a larger part of our land into a producing land. my lower back and right shoulder are killing me, but the cold beer helps. trying to get the kids involved. we also got chickens and are figuring out how to keep them from getting eaten, got a big coop, basically achieving my wife's dream of being on a farm. while i am not a farmer at all, it gets me off my butt, good exercise, and i am enjoying the work for the most part. considering a couple goats too but they are super 365 days a year needy. as i am not playing much guitar anymore, sad to say, totally bunrt out on it, i need a hobby :). urban farming appears to be it.

Well do you? Or is your pool au naturel only?
Well since the downsize it's a community pool and so we have to dress, and walk down the street to use to pool. I really miss my old back yard. There, we'd just throw off our cloves and run and jump in........ sigh!!

Well, if you're just wearing cloves, throwing them off seems like it wouldn't make much difference.

Still working, so I just come home, feed the cat, feed the Steve, and fall asleep on the sofa.

I was ahead of you this weekend, but I just did stuff I'd been brushing up on recently:

Nothing against thematic inspiration for a tune but it can be a speedbump and can get pretty dated too, if not handled metaphorically.
But I agree with a basic principle of using the spare time to practice and post up originals, warts and all.
It's busking on the internet, not worrying about making a ready-for-radio perfect take.
SO y'all getcher butts busy and post whatcha can.

I smoke 'em I don't wear 'em

Al, that dramatic farewell bought you at least two weeks, you know? I'm afraid now you're back you lose the remaining vacation hours. Sorry. That's the policy......
