I'm waiting for 100 miles to go by, so I can take a photo of the odometer at 111,111. Since I don't drive much, it could take a while. Also, this.....

Fun stuff.

Tom,
Or, you could take a photo of your Odometer, and easily photoshop it to read 111,111 or any other six-digit number you'd like, and so, save yourself a lot of driving time and gasoline.

2014 March I miserably failed after careful planning to get them numbers show up right. I had that nice number aproaching and calculated when it is right time to reset the trip counter and not touch it until fullfillment 😂

I got everything else correct - but to my dismay The Moment happened on a road w no stopping and there was another car behind me - so I had to drive 400 meters forward.

Pictures are captures of a video shoving how "mileage" ( kilometerage? ) switches between total and trip displays.

I know I'm not going to live long enough to have another chance - but there's one thing to ease the sorrow - I did see it even though I was not able to capture it on the video 😂

Nuuska,
There are a number of things I care about that I will likely not live long enough to see, such as marriages of grand-children, birth of great-grand-children, proof of life on other moons or planets, and alien contact.
However, seeing "123456" appear on an odometer, and recording it digitally is not one of them.

7:05 seems to be a frequent clock time I see. My alarm is set for 7:15am but my head hates hearing it, so it wakes me up right around 7:05 on most days. I guess that's what a regular work-schedule will do for ya!

For me it's 5:45 am, the time my alarm is set to for me to start my morning two-hour walk at 6:30 am.

Ooof a 6:30am walk in Ontario this time of year?! I grew up in Buffalo and I do consider myself a morning person that actually loves sunrise walks when they're in the cards, but Winter was always indoor season for me until I moved South. I loathed going from my warm bed into the early morning Winter cold up there, so I only did it when absolutely necessary. That said, I do miss waking up early on Winter mornings when there was nothing on the agenda, making coffee, and looking out at the cold morning scenery. Some of those crisp mornings with fresh snow were so pretty.

My '88 4Runner reached 99,999 miles just before we pulled in to the parking lot of my wife's favorite favorite restaurant many years back (maybe 1996 or 7). From the trip meter, I figured we had about 1/4 mile to go before hitting 100,000.. the first time I ever had a car go that high.

After we finished dinner, I knew if I started driving home I would forget to look and watch the odometer hit 100,000... so instead of driving home, I drove back and forth, the length of the parking lot... I think it took about 5 laps... until we hit the "magic" number.

The number 1 figures in a couple of things for me. Also, 7. Do you have times when you check the clock and they show up over and OVER?? For me it's usually 11:11. Or 4:20, lol!! 🕰️
Mine always seems to be 5:42...which is exactly 3 minutes before my mon-fri "air raid siren" alarm kicks in. 🤬 I can't tell you how many times I've also opened my eyes, looked at the clock on my ipad to see what time it is...just to have that damn air raid siren go off in my face! UGH! Those mornings require some extra snooze time! ;)

mellowgerman,
No question there are mornings when it feels like I'm walking across the Steppes of Russia, when it's minus 15 C with a wind chill of minus 25, and my testicles take the Express Elevator up into my throat. On the other hand, the brisk winter air does tend to make my cheeks nice and rosy.

"my morning two-hour walk at 6:30 am."

Not in the winter! It was about 20 this morning at 6, I've been told. That's when my alarm goes off.

Being old and having no more need to wake up by the clock brings in Jymy The Dog 🐾

He jumps on the bed and lays tightly next to me - maybe puts his nose on my chest - IF I'm sleeping he'll let me - but if I'm partly awake and he knows it - there's no cheating - he'll start "talking" to me - not barking 😂 - then I put one hand out and scratch him - w any luck there might be another hour sleep - often not 🐾

Very similar to my "wake up call"! Much better than any clock.
