The price is ludicrous, and while I thought it wasn't real, I found others!

I don't recall seeing these in any of the catalogs I have. Anyone know what's up with these pedals made by Beatsound in Argentina with Guild logos on them?

That Turbo Overdrive just screams "I'm from the 1970s!" 🧐

Oh my, the catalog would explain it all!

Funny, in all my times in music stores in the '70's, I don't recall ever seeing Guild pedals like these...

They’re made in Argentina so I’m thinking maybe they were a way for Guild to get into the S. American market without needing to ship any product.

I also can't remember them in any Guild catalog or pricelist. Well, wait until Hans posts one...

Anyway, with the many models @GAD would need to start an entire new collection!

The guy who designed them at Beatsound in Argentina is Juan Carlos Baglieri.

Talking about 70s:

Looking at the PCB, the green quality control sticker shows 710810, so that has to be 1971! Is that possible?

All kind of knobs used or maybe some are not original anymore.

And what a lot of them, that is just part of the lineup!

Serious doubts here that we're looking at an official Guild-branded product. I would not be surprised if this is a case of the 'unauthorized' use of the Guild brand name. Maybe not illegal in Argentina, but maybe I'm entirely wrong!

Edit: Or maybe it was authorized by somebody higher up in the Guild-hierarchy, just to make a little extra money, as long as it was for use in another country?

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

I had that thought, too, especially given the weird placement if the logos and the way they seem just a little bit off in some shots.

Guild seems like a weird brand to do that for.

I still want them. :)
