Okay, I've been playing guitar for about 60 years, and thought I'd seen most things, or heard. On my Orpheum OOO, if I play D on 3rd string 7th fret, it's fine. However if I even just depress the B on the 6th string 7th fret, there's some kind of buzz, don't have to play the 6th (but it's there if I do). If I lift my finnger off the 6th, it goes away. I'm going to take it to my luthier, but want to wait until I have my second COVID vaccine. Anybody have any suggestions?

Yeah, that was my first thought too, Walrus. 🙃

Back to the guitar . . . maybe a high or loose fret?

Or relief that has changed during the winter heating season.

First thing I checked with a fret rocker, seems to be all right. Relief seems okay, too, using the 1st and 14th fret trick.

Ditto on the tuners. The few times that I have had this problem it has mostly been loose nuts on the tuners. On a good resonant guitar they don't have to be very loose.

How new or old are the strings? Once, maybe twice, in my life I have had a string where the winding is loose (new) or has come loose (old).

I have also had the rare occasion where I have not pulled a string up tight enough against the bridge pin. The pin holds the string at pitch without slipping, and there is enough of the string free inside the guitar that the ball rattles in the loop at certain pitches.
