Weird Aldo guitar

The price is fairly wrong here but I'm curious as to what this might be. It certainly isn't a premier/supro/harmony of the era, and that pickup was installed later.

I have a japanese Lyle that was refitted with minihums that it looks somewhat similar to in shape but this is VERY primitive.

Any tips?

I can't get past the location of the upper bout strap button! Never heard of Aldo, either. Interesting guitar, though.

Nice! The shape is one I've seen before though somewhere. If hollow it could be pretty fun with that pickup.

I don't think that is a Italian guitar, could be something Japanese maybe. Might need to check the "History of Japanese Electric Guitars" book if such headstock shape exists there.

I agree likely Japan. This is when I really, really wish I had that book :)
