My 2018 Guild D-40 fell off the guitar stand and the 4th string open gear Guild
tuner broke (the tiny internal tensioning screw broke). I looked on the Guild parts list, and the only open gear nickel butter bean Waverly-looking tuners they sell are the ones
they also use on their import models. So I ordered one. But I have no way of knowing if it will be a sort of drop-in for the existing holes in the headstock or not.
In any case, has anyone replaced the tuners on their D-40 Traditional from the same era - mine is from 2018, serial # G171137? If so, is there a Waverly , Grover, or other make drop-in? Thanks!

I think they are Gotoh Se700 series tuners.

My 2012 F-40 and 2019 F-412 have Gotoh labeled tuners which jives with the catalog info. But, as always, YMMV.

Update. A very kind Guild employee in CA, named Tyler, found out exactly which tuner it is. It is the same as a Grover Stay-Tight - but with no logo on it. He is sending it to me. He said that they are using Grovers on the newer ones now. (Mine was from 2018). I am relieved.
It has the same dimensions as the ones used on the Westerly models, but has a bigger gear ratio.

The Grovers are very good tuners. I'm happy to have Waverlys on my Martin, but probably not pay more for them. The Waverlys replaced the stock Martin tuners in my guitar an owner or two ago.
