Have you contacted the museum and explained that your wife is disabled and requires mobility assistance and asked what accomodations are available for her?
They may have wheelchairs available onsite that you could use to take her thru the portions of the museum that are accessible.
Not every building can accomodate motorized mobility devices.
Has your wife looked online for any organizations, forums, groups or travel websites for the disabled who share similar impairments to hers and can offer advice or information...maybe even have visited your intended spots?
