Hi,

I am new to the forum, and I have been looking quite a while for a Guild branded Bigsby, and a pickguard for a 1997 Starfire IV. Any good tips on where to look? I understand that the modern parts will not fit and that Guild does not sell pre-2014 parts.

Thanks,
John

I'll do that, thank you. My challenge is, I don't know what year fits what year. Is there a way to find that out, maybe cross-reference the parts? Lots of new stuff out there, was told none will fit. The older Bigsby looks nice I saw that on eBay. I'd need to know if it fits the 97 models either. Thanks for the help.

Welcome aboard Jmp57!
Never seen a cross-reference chart.
I believe it's been mentioned before that B7's were used but varies by model and period IIRC.
(Can't recall for sure if B6's were, as well)
Our guru Hansmoust will know for sure, suggest sending him a private message if he doesn't see this pretty soon.

I think any era US Guild-branded Bigsby B-7 will work. I'm not sure if the ones from the Newark Street models will line up to existing mounting holes.

I'm dying to know if this will work or not. Anyone out there have a NS Starfire V or VI that can tell us?

Thank you for your response, been quite and have not been able to check my message in several days. I am still actively seeking a pickguard and a guildsby that will fit my guitar. Interestingly, the SF I bought came with a pickguard that looks to be original, but it does not have the guild decal on it, anyone ever heard of this? Maybe it's aftermarket. Any, I will look at the links sent and pm Hansmoust, thanks again for your help.
