Hi folks, new guy here. I have a value question. How much would a used, minty Korean made Starfire III that is a second, it has the USED stamp on the back of the headstock, the last 3 digits cut out and the serial in the body itself is a sticker, be worth? If a non-second is worth about 800-850 how much would a second bring?

I’ve looked on Reverb but didn’t find any obvious sales

Thanks for any insight you might have

Chris

Dont know the answer. But i can tell you, if you shop around, and keep looking, deals are out there. About two weeks into the confusion, i found a brand new starfire 3 for 669 at a place in Canada that was blowing them out, with a few other new guilds. i spoke with them, but eventually turned it down and went with another guitar. So in my head, 669 new is the starting point for new and i would be uncomfortable paying more. A B stock is usually discounted quite a bit to people that farm them out, so there should be a lot of wiggle room in the price.

I personally would not pay more than about $650 for a NS Starfire to begin with (that's what I paid for the one I reviewed) so I'd have to say something like $400. You'll never get your money back if you decide to sell it.
