Hi. I‘m a proud owner of a Guild T-50 Slim and now installed the Guild DeArmond Dynasonic Pickup, which is used on the special limited versions, instead of the Franz P-90 Dogear, which the guitar came with.

The only optical thing I need to change for my ADHD brain is some kind of bezel to cover the screw holes of the Dogear pickup. Is there an adapter available for P-90 to Dynasonic upgrades? Or simply black Franz P-90 spacers, which I could use as base?

There must be someone who already did this modification, or? Any help is appreciated.

I did it without any bezels on a NS X175. You can see an impression of the dogear cover in the finish, and a tiny hole where the dogear cover screw was - on the bass side, because the treble side has the pickguard hiding it.

If you're planning on using a current-issue Guild/DeArmond Dynasonic pickup, I'd say don't bother - the difference is not really that big, and I think the Franz pickup actually sounds better. If you're planning on using a Duncan, TV Jones, Mojo UK, Gretsch, Gabojo, or vintage pickup, Yes, it will sound different enough to make it worth it.

Project completed. I tested a few parts that I thought might work under certain circumstances. The Roswell P90 mounting ring fits perfectly, without any modification. My aesthetic eye is pleased.

As someone who usually dislikes such “non original” things that looks pretty great! Nicely done.
