Unknown Guild 12 string

My friend located a New Guild 12 string out of state and asked if I was interested. Its not like anything I've seen before. He said its a F-412, but it does not have a pickguard installed (it may be in the case). The face is natural finish, but the back and sides (arched maple) appear to be a walnut or mahagany brown stain? Its not the translusent red like my JF30.
Was this a normal model at any time? He thinks its new old stock from 02 perhaps.
What would be a good price for such a guitar?

Seller doesn't say whether it's a re-fin or not. What kind of condition is the F412 in? Pics?

The Vintage Guitar Price Guide lists recent Guild maple 12 strings at @ $1,000 to $1,200. You can check the finished auctions on ebay, and also the listings on gbase.com. In general, Ebay prices are probably the lowest, and gbase the highest, but you can talk down some of the gbasers.

Could be they adopted the idea of this finish from Gibson Super Jumbos which come in Natural and Walnut finish.
