The last time my instructor and his students got to perform in public we found that the drummer that is a friend tends to not drum so well ,the later the event lasts. He tends to speed up during the songs anyway. So, coming up with an alternate " drummer " has been in the back of my mind. I figure it might also be a good way to solo with out a YouTube backing track. I have my kids drum kit right behind me, so I could learn, but, that wouldn't allow me to play the guitar ! Recently, I saw this device.
It's an interesting device that will learn what you want, when you teach it with your guitar.
The other pedal is a Vintage Bass Octave pedal from MXR.
When my instructor does his bass solos, the groove drops out, and I want to have a way to take up the slack. I thought adding a lower octave to my guitar would give me the ability to fake being a bass player. I first saw it on " That Pedal Show " when the guest was Marl Lettieri. Check this out:
Mark does a lot with a simple looper in this demo of the pedal.
Here is the money question(s) ... Do these seem to be genuinely useful pedals or am I just hitting post Christmas Gear Acquisition Syndrome ?
