Hi, I thought you all may be interested in two archtops I have. One is a 1953 X-330 that was restored by FMIC Nashville. There is an article about it in the August issue of Twentieth Century Guitar. The other is a very cool X-500 from 1963. Ohotos of the latter are on my web site.

I saw the X-330 on Guildguy.com a few weeks ago (and downloaded the pics) but I haven't seen it there for weeks. Does anybody else see it there now?

Also, I looked for Twentieth Century Guitar on Wednesday morning at a big book store, but the didn't have it. Is the issue out yet? If so, which month? I also went to TCG's website but saw nothing about the 330. They did have something about an old Guild X200.

Hi, the X-330 article is in the August issue of 20th. I never had photos of the X-330 on my web site that I can recall. You may want to e-mail 20th and see where you can buy a copy. Jay Pilzer

I've got the X-330 that's in The Guild Book. I bought it at the San Diego Guitar Center a long time ago. This was before Hans had published his book with the more accurate serial number info. Guitar Center was dating it based on Gruhn's serial number information and I think I paid $650 for it at the time. I was originally looking at it as a source for some nice Kluson tuners and a hard shell case for one of my Gibsons. Fortunately, I didn't screw with it and it got me started on adding other Guilds to the family.
