Having ditched cable TV, I'm watching Netflix before bed, I'm on a Twilight Zone binge.

It's hard to believe how many big names Rod Serling casted on this show; most weren't quite big names yet but some were; here is a partial list. You might say Rod Serling had a good eye for talent...

Ron Howard
Elizabeth Montgomery
Keenan Wynn
Bruce Dern
Donna Douglas
William Shatner
Billy Mumy
Charles Bronson
Carol Burnett
Art Carney
Sebastian Cabot
Lee VanCleef
Jackie Cooper
Bob Crane
Don Rickles
Richard Deacon
William Demerest
Robert Duvall
Buddy Ebsen
Jack Elam
Mariette Hartley
Shelley Fabares
Peter Falk
Michael Fox
Mickey Rooney
Dennis Hopper
Buster Keaton
Jack Klugman
Nancy Kulp
Martin Landau
Lee Marvin
Agnes Moorehead
Julie Newmar
Leonard Nimoy
Robert Redford
Burt Reynolds

Hey, dread! My wife and I are doing the same thing. It's amazing how well these shows and ideas still hold up today. In fact, I see tons of premises and plot schemes that have since been redone as big Hollywood productions. I have to point out all the famous stars too, since she usually doesn't recognize them. Fun stuff.

Yup, really well-written scripts and ahead of its time.

Yeah, I couldn't believe one episode I watched the other night starred a very young Elizabeth Montgomery and Charles Bronson.

Great series. I have worked (indirectly) for some of these media companies, and Netflix has definitely changed the landscape of television. For a while Friends was, I think, the most watched show in America. At least Twilight Zone is worthy! :)

(actually, I think it was most watched by the under-30 audience... due to Netflix, of course -- that was my point. :) )

Yeah, I've been bingeing, too, but not on that one. I recommend Designated Survivor. Also, if you've got Prime, Bosch is great!
