Tuner color preference by model - 12 strings - your opinions please

My 412Spec. had full size gold Rotos on it. Weighed a ton. Worked great.

Oh my gosh, Brad. That's wrong in so many ways. Were you actually able to turn the knobs without them interfering with each other?

Wow, did it come from the factory that way?

No; the footprint shows the factory tuner silhouette. You can see the "filled" factory screw holes (gold screw heads) up there at the top.

Yes (it was close). I think it now has Grover minis or Schaller minis. My archback Brw 512 had the same gold Grover tuners in place of the factory strips.

Well, I put the originals back on there. Look great. WAY too fast ratio for me. They'll be coming off and I'll be looking at 18-1 or higher. Probably klunky old-school Grovers or Schallers.

As I recall the old Rotomatics that were on AE-176 (see above picture) were 18-1.
