Anyone had occasion to install a "treble bleed" capacitor in one of their archtop Guilds, say a '60 T-100 w/Franz, '63 Manhattan with H/B, or '64 Starfire III with Dearmonds? I just put a .001uf capacitor and 130 ohm resistor on each of the volume pots of a friend's '73 Gibson SG that would go dull and dark when the volume was rolled off. Good golly, now it retains life all the way down to zero.
I've long noticed the tendency of my Guilds to lose treble when rolling off volume. Can anyone share experience from having done something about this?
Many thanks!
