Tonight's guitar love: My first guitar, my Guild D65S

I don’t mind the resurrection and am happy to keep it going. Maybe some of you folks who have been on the forum a lot longer have seen another, but I have not. One of 20 and this is the only one I’ve seen being discussed. I wonder where the others live?

I've only seen one other, about a year or so after I joined here. It was on eBay. Back then it sold for $4250 which was a really stiff price for then, or any time really. But that's only two, so there's 18 unaccounted for. I can't imagine anyone wanting to sell one unless they had to. They're truly amazing guitars.

So, I must be completely honest. I was never interested in Maple Acoustic guitars, played a few, but always sought out Rosewood or Mahogany. Your Guitar is absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen Maple like that. You are a lucky man and my mind has been changed about how beautiful it can be. Walt

Guild does maple better than just about anyone, but appearance wouldn't matter if the guitars sounded lousy. I own several maple Guilds and IMO they all sound great.

Yeah... I went to this thread to look at the guitar you referred to when you commented on my post. I think it's my fault, but wow... your guitar is pretty amazing. More people might be able to take a look at it. Truly gorgeous.
