Bukovac is right up near the top of the "best guitarists you've never heard of" class. He's a session guy by trade, also a sideman but rarely the front guy. I think he was born with good taste embedded in his fingers.

I never heard of him until this thread. But these videos he's doing are really very informative and entertaining!

*** EDIT - OK, now that my on-line courses are winding down, I have to say I'm watching them all in order, taking a break in between to play and try some of his advice. Very excellent! ***

I like the mention of the DeArmonds on his Silvertone. I have an old Harmony with the "mustache" version, and it is one of my best sounding guitars. I'd love to try Novak's version, but that's a totally different thread.
Those DeArmonds are great for sure. Very beefy. I love the Teisco refrigerator magnet gold foils too…brighter and less beefy than the DeArmonds but still with nice, warm mids.
