So, I admit that as I've grown older I'm not as adventurous or willing to try new things. I play a lot of the same songs on many of the same guitars, I watch the same shows as a rule on TV, I take the same roads and routes when I'm going some where. You get the idea. But that's all o.k., I'm pretty content and have really been blessed in my life.

So, tonight I couldn't find anything I wanted to watch so I scrolled thru until I found a station I'd never watched called Axs (I have Dish Network). Tonight they had such a cool show on John Mellencamp and his 2010 tour. He's always been one of my faves and I think writes and sings real songs with lots of feelings and emotions and his band was superb. He recorded at Southern Baptist Churches, the same studio Robert Johnson recorded in and also the Studio where Elvis and Johnny Cash recorded. I learned a lot and it was really interesting. If you haven't seen it and come across it I urge you to watch.

I see now it's gone into a show on Genesis who I also liked so I'll watch that as well. Who knows, maybe I'll go wild and not go to bed at 11:00 but stay up until the ungodly hour of midnight. We'll see.

Richard, get a hold of yourself - else you are going to crossover to that great "NORMAL" divide. Love finding a new channel to enjoy. Enthusiasm is still working!!

I discovered that channel myself last year. Interesting documentaries and concerts, but way too many commercials (usually with the documentaries) to make it enjoyable. Sometimes I can find the docs and concerts on other streaming services (commercial free).

AXS TV has a lot of great shows and documentaries about music. It is actually what they show the most in the evenings. I saw the Mellencamp show last night too - very enjoyable!

Since I got my first iPhone years ago, I haven't worn a wrist watch except occasionally as jewelry. I have a few really nice watches that are heirlooms, but not really for telling time. Maybe I'll start a thread in misc about these.

These days, my personal bling is my Thalia rings. Really dig 'em.

I was at a ladies craft circle dang near 20 years ago - pursuing my significant other ;] - wearing that Rolex 5513 Sub in the picture, when a gal asked me what time it was. Somehow I let it out that it was a $3k watch, and she says "Wow, I guess you really want to know what time it is" ;]]]

Watches, especially ladies' watches have very often been about bling and not time. Though men's watches can be equally blingy.
