I have been waiting this moment since I heard about the new factory in Oxnard...after saving money and selling few guitars (including my beloved Westerly JF30-12) she is arrived.
The box indicated the guitar is from mid ´19, I don´t think they make many of them.
Wood quality is more or less like my Martin HD28V, I think it´s hard to do better.
The guitar comes with quite a lot of package, besides the quilted case inside I found a green celluloid plectrum, a small clotch bag with certifcate of authenticity, owner´s manual two stickers, a booklet for the L. Baggs Anthem , a nice cloth and what appears to be be a peculiar capo that I need to test.
Yes, the flamed maple back is mighty
And here there´s a picture of the King of 12s.
I am working from home therefore I cannot give her the attentions she deserves, but overall it´s an impressive piece of luthiery, I was right when I decided to get a maple sunburst, the finish if lovely, and unfortunately I am wealthy enough to get a D55 and a F50 to complete the triad of high end Guilds.
