Woo-hoo! Just picked up a bunch of vintage Guilds in a plethora of colors ...

4 blacks (S-100 Standard, S-90, M-75 CS, fretless JS Bass 2)
4 blondes (Artist Award, X-500, CE-100D, Starfire IV)
3 cherries (Starfire 2 bass, S-50, JS bass 2)
3 naturals (Starfire 2, S-100 Carved, JS bass2 Carved)
3 sunbursts (X-175, Starfire VI, S-100 DeLuxe)
1 walnut (M-85-2 bass)

... all packaged nicely within a 1975 Guild Electric Guitars & Basses catalog (No. 7840) in excellent condition. The pages have aged nicely and there's no rips, tears or folds. The only flaws, and I don't even think they're flaws, are some light check marks in blue ink by the blonde Starfire IV, the natural S-100 Carved and black M-75CS.

This catalog was obviously owned by a Guild electric guitar fan with good taste and neat penmanship. :D

It's the same catalog you can find online here

Sorry fellas, but I had to spice up the arrival of a vintage catalog somehow. I think if I had my choice of any of the ones in the catalog, I'd still be tempted to pick the one I already have -- a sunburst S-100 DeLuxe -- but would probably settle for the sunburst Starfire VI.

I've got a copy of the sunburst S-100 DeLuxe page hanging in my cubicle at work, which tides me over until I get home to the real thing.

I thought perhaps you had won the lottery 'til I read further!
If I do win the lottery, I'm clicking "Buy It Now" on this one. Might even pay full price and not try to negotiate. 8)

Hey Thunderface,

If you do win the lottery, give me a call first and I'll sell you a nicer one for $ 500.00 less!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

 Good one Hans! But seriously, I guess the one you would sell is an amazing one!

I still wonder why Fretted Americana claims a "Carved Spruce-Top"? I thought they all have laminated spruce tops?
