I knew my friend who lives in rural rural Tennessee liked Guitars and Mandolins but had never been inside his "Guitar Room" until today.
What do you say to someone who has a collection like this? I said, "WOW"!! And when you talk to him you realize he has sooo much knowledge he has gained from the years of searching.

Wow! I haven’t been in a music store with that many good guitars in almost a decade. I don’t count GC. Is he single or is his wife blind?

He is.married and his wife is very supportive.
I didn't know him until he married. His wife's family and I have been close friends for over 70 years - good people.

You must of had to sit down to catch your breath after walking into that room. Guitar Room doesn't quite do it justice. Any Guilds there?

Saw a D40, I think but you would need a day to look at and hold all of them.

There seem to be some paintings , too - and now - naturally, because of how I am - there is THE question :

Does he play guitar ?

Yes, he plays guitar but, mostly, Mandolins.
Has his own band and bluegrass and old gospel and country.
Paintings might be folks he has played with.
Trying to create enough space for a "picking area."
Great person with character.

I can just imagine how many collections like that there are in Nashville alone, considering the number of studios and great artists as well.

Grassers are the most fun and honest and sometimes humble people.

They set the action a little too high and play hard. No reason not to like them.

He is honest and very humble until a "know it all" tries to make someone else look bad and will calmly say, "you may have a point but when I was playing with *****, he wanted us to play it 4/4 time. Conversation over.
