Saw this production last night at Detroit’s historic Fisher Theater. Two hours of music from S and G starting from when they called themselves Tom and Jerry.

The show chronicled their entire history up to today with great covers and film clips, etc. that really set the stage for each era they covered. Very solid performances from S and G and a great backup band. I was disappointed however that there were no Guilds on stage. He played a Martin OM and an Ovation.

Highly recommended if it comes to your area.

Just to be clear, this was a cover group very capably performing SG songs, not the boys themselves.

Oh, I guess I read it too quickly. I thought it was a documentary. So this is some sort of live “tribute” band theatre performance.
