With apologies for the "butt-inski", I was getting that even a rosewood Guild is "undervalued" compared to the other brands, even if the Gibson's 'hog?Steveintampa Why not a used D-55? The J-45 is a hog not a rosewood guitar, so it is different than your rosewood choices.

Not always that expensive. Earlier this week, I played a new 2025 Gibson J-45 Rosewood Studio at GC that was very impressive in tone, playability, and looks. Lovely gloss iced-tea sunburst top, with equally nice rosewood b&s in a smooth satin finish. Asking price: $2499. I’ve played a few of these that did nothing for me, but this was surely did. If I didn’t already worship everything about my 2002 J-45 Rosewood, I very well might’ve brought it home.Trying to keep the price points similar. Gibson rosewood is expensive!
