Look what arrived via UPS this morning, a 1965 S-50 Jetstar in very good condition, just a few surface scratches and one nick on the back of its advertised refinished body. I was even impressed with the condition of the case.

Nice. Now get to work on some sound clips! I've been pretty curious as to how that pickup orientation sounds.

I was raised on that style of guitar. My first Guild electric was a red S50 Jetstar with the Hagstrom tremer and single middle pickup. The headstock on mine was the assymentric style like a Polara and Thunderbird but with the simple Guild logo.

I think this one might have been red in its former appearance. There's a small nick on the back and one on the front in which you can see some trace of red paint. I like it the way it is, but maybe someday I'll consider having the refinish refinished.
