A while back I had dialogue with the legal department at FMIC and, among other topics of interest, we discussed my desire to tool a custom leather guitar strap sporting Guild insignia. I obtained specific permission to to just that (so long as I never profit from the sale of it), and produced my own little advertising accessory of my favorite guitar brand. I was chatting with a friend today and I realized I had never posted any images of this item. I thought somebody might enjoy seeing the strap (I know I like wearing it!)...

Nice. Thank you, both for sharing your work and for respecting FMIC's intellectual property by asking for permission first.

Christopher,

You 'captured' everything: shield, script, and Chesterfield (to be read - coming and going). 8) Quite nice.....especially like the cognac dye color you chose. :)

Sweet! I especially like that you used both the G shield and the Chesterfield symbols and that they are going both directions.

How might one go about acquiring one of said straps?

 There IS a way around everything, it sometimes seems. But Yea, good on ya for getting permission to do that, and for doing it so very well!
I actually like it better than the official straps at this point. The official ones ( great quality) have the nicely tooled leather but the 'Guild' part is more like an 'added on' bit after the fact. Yours is all Guild!
Way to Go Christopher!!! :D

Great strap, and nice to see you using Hercules stands, too. 8)

Thanks, all, for the compliments.

Yes, Joe, I only made one of the Guild straps. I made the guitar strap I wanted to purchase, as it doesn't exist (at least, not yet). Perhaps Fender will license someone to make something similar.
