I'm gone.
Thank you very much, @GAD in particular, for allowing me to participate in the LTG community, there is no shortage of wonderful and remarkable people here. LTG was probably the last good forum left on the internet.
But LTG is also a business through which thousand-plus dollar deals are routinely made, often internationally. The normalization of the Covid scam into the Let's Talk Guild conversation marks the end of any confidence I have as a buyer or seller here, so I'll be moving on.
Best of luck and all the best to each of you,
Matt

If anyone understands this please PM me and explain it. No need to reply in public, however.

Well, that was unexpected.

And hey @Midnight Toker , I have found the same! Usually never a year went by when I didn't at least pick up a cold or flu when they were making the rounds. I'd always get one or the other and sometimes both. After having COVID and having the mask mandate in place, and continuing to wear one after the mandate was lifted, I haven't had as much as a sniffle or anything. Just as you said. So, masks seem to work. And for that I'm glad.

Thank you to everyone for their kind responses. My wife and I are definitely on the mend. There have been two days of negative rapid antigen tests. I went out yesterday afternoon and overdid it purchasing garden soil. I also started to catch up on some household things, replacing the door handle set on the back door that came off in my wife's hands while we sick (not a locking set - deadbolt for that) and beginning my annual battle against the invasion of the tiny little Pharaoh ants. I was very tired by the evening. There is a bit of a periodic coughing and a bit of fatigue remaining, but that is it.

I am sorry that (my) reality has proven so troublesome. It was never my intention to cause trouble or to make any statement about anything other than my family's health.

@Mods, I have no trouble with this thread being locked or deleted. Please do whatever you think is best.

Glad you both are on the mend!! That's good news. Take it as easy as you can. It's a mean bug. It takes a bit to recover. And you've done nothing wrong. Someone just went off the rails for some unknown reason. We are still in a global pandemic and it touches all our lives in some way. Some more than others. There's no way we can be friends or at least friendly without touching on the subject, because it's so pervasive. So worry not. The good news is you're both doing better and getting on with life's chores. Thanks for the update, amigo!! (y)

I had what I believe was the Omicron version of Covid the first of the year. I was vaxxed and boosted and I really seemed to just have a bad cold. I even ran a 5K training run during that time. I was quite surprised to test positive at an immediate care facility.

Then last month I had "just a cold" as I kept testing negative. I actually felt much worst from then WMMV!

Thank you for the update. Happy to hear you both are getting better.

Having just come in from pulling weeds I found it entertaining that your first venture back into life's routines was to purchase garden soil. May you grow Big Things!

It's very easy to overdo so please don't push yourself too hard. I was down for a Covid count last summer and it was a couple of months before I could do my barn chores without having to take multiple breaks.

Concerning the curious exit, I agree with Tom. It was nothing you did and I think we are all scratching our heads over it. Too bad he'll be missing out because this is the best place to hang out with the best people, so don't you go anywhere! I'll be looking forward to updates on how you and your wife are doing as well as what's going on in the garden.

Take care!

This reminds me of when my kids were young. They'd get something and then I'd get it (but not their mom!). It was like being in the "disease of the month club". The colds weren't so bad, but stomach viruses... ugh. And once I even got Hand and Mouth (coxsackie virus) from them (which is always worse in adults than in kids). I'm glad those days are over!

"Disease of the month club". I apologize but that's funny! Not the actual being sick part, but calling it that. Thanks for a chuckle!

To veer: Mrs. Fro's health improved significantly when she stopped teaching in classrooms. Basically if a sick kid had it then she eventually go it.
