Without leaving this page, opening any others, or downloading and
opening in an image editor for enhancement - can you identify
the model and year (or era) of these 9 mahogany-top Guild dreads?

There may be more than one of the same model, and at least one spoiler :devilish:

Oh! That's a tough play! I honestly have no idea just looking at those tops without being able to compare pictures on Google...or in Hans book. Obviously one needs to check on the rosettes. They should be the hint. Great idea for a discussion! Thanks for assembling that little riddle game!

Thanks Ralf - but if you can't name them, nobody can - so now allowing for external reference -
as long as no one stalks my previous posts on LTG ;) - let's see if anyone gives it a shot.
Rosettes are the best clues, also binding, pick guard shapes, wood grain and coloration.
One hint - there is no D16 - tried to land one just for this exercise but was unable.
As alluded to in the first post, there is one that will likely be unidentifiable but is a hog-top Guild.

Way to go Blake, 5 out of 9 (y)
1, 3, 4, 8, 9 - correct. Extra points if you can guess approximate year ;)
AFAIK mahogany tops were not available on D35s or D40s of any era, unless
perhaps a custom order.

Don't know about that Blake! But hopefully, seeing the variances from the early '70s all the
way to the modern era, you may be more likely to be able to ID a
hog-top Guild dread at 20 paces ;)

If I ever land the two missing models, I'll add them to the original posting.
