From a thread over on The Gear Page. Ted Weber personally posted into the thread confirming that he is suffering from "...pulmonary sarcoidosis, a hardening of the lungs ..." and is waiting for a lung transplant.
In addition to the other models in Weber's extensive line, they produce the finest alnico speakers for low power and recording applications; a rare blend of tone, quality, and value.
His 'people' and I once bungled an order for an international power transformer for one of Coastie's Silvertone projects ('Stone2' for those keeping score). They tried to fix by sending me the bell-ends but I'd already shipped the transformer to Coastie. I sent Coastie the 'fix' bell ends but they wouldn't work either. I explained the problem again to the Webers and they shipped, to NZ at their expense, the correct set.
A quality source for speakers, parts, and customer support from a quality person.
Hoping for best Ted!
