I have a ‘67 Starfire XII that has what appears to be a standard 6-string tailpiece “…with 6 slots sawn out.” (from a 2015 thread).
My problem is that the “sawn-out” slot on the low E(but high octave) has broken off. I had it hanging by a thread but the thread snapped.
From the old thread on this subject, someone said you could use a 6-string tail pie and put two strings through each hole. Has anyone done that?
I’ve looked for a 12-string tailpiece but no luck.
Thanks for any ideas.
