For those of you who own and play a T100D, what do you recommend in the way of strings?

Way back when I bought my T100D from my teacher, it had medium heavy Guild flatwounds (EA610s?) and a wooden bridge. Way to heavy for my taste at the time (high school rock band). Long ago I put on Grover tuners and a Gibson Tune-o-Matic bridge. Light roundwounds are too jangly/tinny. I'm thinking something medium, flatwound and not too darn expensive.

Suggestions, gents?

Thanx!

I 'm using D'Addario XL 010-046 on my 1964 T100D, I find it plays very well for my taste, the action is quite smooth, I kept the wooden bridge. The guitar was set up perfectly this way when I got it last year, I guess the old strings it came equipped with were 010 as well, 'cos I didn't feel the need to change anything :the neck was straight and flawless.
Love this guitar to death, actually i'm playing it tomorrow at a gig,and since I got it last november I mainly played that on live gigs, leaving home my other favourites..among them Rickenbackers, Gretsch, Gibson, and Fenders..this T100D has got a special vibe for me.

Very much a matter of personal taste and preference, but I string my '59 slim jim with Dean Markley 11-52 roundwounds, these have a wound and unwound G, so you can choose. I prefer the unwound for easy bending. I attempt to play rock 'n' roll - hillbilly - swing style with it. Guitar is great, guitar player could always use some improvement.

Generally I prefer the Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Swing nickel flatwound set which starts with an .011 and has a wound G. I also like Pyramids but they are more expensive. I tune in 4ths, so I swap out the top two strings with an .010 and .013 to correct for the higher tension from tuning those strings up an extra half step.

Caveman and Teleharmonium:

Thanks for the thoughts - I may buy a few different sets and work through them to see what feels best.
Though as noted, this player could always be improved upon...

I string my '61 T100DP with D'Addario 11-49 roundwounds with an unwound G.
Maybe I'll try out the version with a wound G in the future.
I play rock 'n' roll - countrybilly style with my "slim Jim" and I prefer the roundwounds to get that real twangy sound.
When I bought the guitar it was stringed with flat wounds 12-52 whitch made the T100 a real jazzer. But I like the real twangy sound it gives with the roundwounds in combination with the super Franz pups.
