I can relate Richard. I spent 26 years working alongside the greatest thoroughbreds in racing at Belmont Park, and while the poverty sucked, the lifestyle sure didn't. To me, there is no creature more magnificent than a well turned out thoroughbred.

Never had the urge to ride one though!

Well, racehorses in particular! I rode lead ponies a few times at Belmont (a "lead pony" is any horse that isn't a racehorse), and decided that it wasn't for me. Of course, it didn't help that one of them was a retired racehorse, and wheeled on me when he heard the starting gate bell! Never minded being underneath, behind, or in front of them though, and spent plenty of time that way.
