Striiping paint/do satin walnut finish question.

How easy or hard is it to strip a gloss urethane finish off of a guitar and then do a walnut satin finish on it? What if it has a bound neck?

As I understand it polyurethane lacquer's extremely tough to remove in a manner that won't damage the guitar's wood or binding, like I wouldn't even consider it myself, I think.

Other guys may have different insights, though. What's the guitar?

I have been watching YouTube vids. Seems like sanding is the way to go. But looks like I would not have the patience for it!!😂

I'd start with a hammer and chisel, then move to explosives as needed.
