Well when I saw this beauty I just couldn't resist.  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=005
It is pretty much everything I want in a Starfire, the sunburst, block inlays... the only thing I would have changed is some grover rotomatics for those schallers. It looks to be in good shape, I hope it really is. It actually went for a lot cheaper than i thought it would. Had my max bid at $1297 and I really didn't think I was going to win it. I guess there isn't as much of a market for the 70's Starfire IV's with the block inlays as I thought, good for me . Well that should relieve some gas for a while, I hope. What a nice first purchase of the new year. Happy day for me. Sorry I am just very excited right now. I have never even played a westerly starfire.

Nice catch. I really like the purple lining and the "homemeade" handle. Both give that funky vintage vibe.

Oh yeah, the guitar looks like a winner too :)

Went and picked it up today. Gotta say I love the guitar; however, there is finish cracking all along the body, top and back. None of which the seller mentioned. I am not too upset because I didn't ask him about it (saw the auction with 2hrs left), and it is still a nice guitar. I guess if I was selling a guitar I would tell everything about it. It just seems that he was trying to hide it you know. Unless it wasn't in this condition and shipping in cold weather caused it, which I doubt. None the less this things plays great with perfect action, and sounds even better. Looks like I have a new stage guitar.
