Can anyone give me the neck thickness (thin, medium, thick) for this period, concerning the Starfire IV?

I have a III an the neck is pretty slim. Dreamlander has a '74 model. You might check with matsickma, he seems to have played almost every Guild electric.
I'd be shocked if SF4's of that vintage had a clubby neck.

I' ve had 2 replies;
One from a 70' Starfire owner; according to him "It is a bit on the thicker side, but it is very comfortable"
And the seller of the Starfire IV that interested me, on Gbase, had this other one:
"The neck on the Starfire IV feels pretty normal to me, so I will call it a medium sized neck."
...but, infortunately, it has been sold....
I asked this question because there are big differences between Guild models.
I know that recent Starfires have slim necks; personally, I own a 2003 X150 Savoy with a rounded neck, more like 50' Gibson profile.

have a 79 SF4. see picture in post. http://letstalkguild.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11656 Would also consider the neck "medium". just slightly slimmer than the Strat but a bit rounder, and a fair bit narrower than a contemporary Gibson LP.

I have a '79 and the neck is definitely not thin, but it's not thick like a 50s LP either. I would call it medium, though I'm not near the guitar right now to give any sort of measurements.

Hi All,
I would describe a Starfire 4/5 as a "thin side of medium". I played many Guilds but not all (not yet Default!) as that is the domain of Hans and Guilds-of-Grot. A Starfire 4/5 neck is thinner than a X170 and a modern Bluesbird. They have the same feel as a 70's M75. Not as chunky as an Aristocrat. I'm close to 6'3" and have largish hands so describing qualities of thin and medium are pretty subjective. However I would say the Starfire 4/5 have the fastest neck of all the Guild hollow or semi hollow models that I played covering the 1950's thru 2000's.
