Needs some electronics cleanup, but otherwise minty.

Ha, congrats! Looking forward to the review (I'm not even sure how many months/years out the queue is any more).

Sweet! That's really nice, GAD. Interested to hear your opinion on it.

Artistic photo, you managed to get the light glare reflection in the lower bout to match the fretboard inlays (y)

GAD, what are the body dimensions on that one? I haven't seen that model before.

Sorry I forgot to say what it was! Yesterday was a more busy than usual day here in the GAD 2-house real estate empire.

As Hans wrote, it’s a Burnside. The model is Mini Starfire and I don’t recall ever seeing one before, so when @Rambozo96 PMd me that he saw one on Reverb I took a chance.

It’s a fun little guitar! It’s tough to judge the sound because it’s got a dodgy connection on the output jack that’s keeping it from working properly, but playability wise I was pretty surprised. My first impressions are that I would put it up there with the Newark St. Stuff, but I only got to spend about 10 minutes with it.

This is now my third Burnside. I reviewed the Lance, and I have a very nice Blade in the pile. I wasn’t blown away by the Lance but this and the Blade are pretty nice.

As for reviews, my plan is to focus a lot of my time on writing once the move is done. I have two offices in the new house, and I’m building one of them to be a writing room of sorts. I also plan on writing up and selling off a lot of guitars, so here’s hoping. :)

14.5" wide at its widest point, and the edge of the body is about 2" thick, though it's arched top and back so its thicker in the center.

Yea man glad I was able to give a tip off. Was gonna buy it for myself but I won an auction I was surely expecting to lose. Won by a nickel!

That's a wonderful example! Congratulations! I only saw pictures of three other, a black one, the transparent burgundy one and another burgundy one (seems to be not the Heritage one). That is the first sunburst I saw! Wonderful! EDIT: And now we know two in sunburst!

The only catalog entry I have ever seen was in that 1987 (?) brochure:

Awww Twinzies 👯‍♂️ They ARE really nice, but yes the wiring is kinda shotty. Pickups sound good, and the neck is fast and flat, more like an Ibanez, and the body is like a 339 in size! I thought I had the only burst! Congrats @GAD !!! Did it come with its original case by chance? Pics? Mine didn’t.
